No, Medtronic Extended infusion set has a built-in serter, which offers a one press deployment.

The standard reservoir is labelled for use up to 3 days and must be changed every 3 days. We recommend using the Medtronic Extended infusion set and Extended reservoir together. The Extended reservoir is labelled for use up to 7 days and thus, only needs to be changed when insulin runs out or when the infusion set is changed.

Only the Extended reservoir is tested and labelled to keep insulin stable and safely used for up to 7 days.

With Medtronic Extended infusion set, you are able to complete a reservoir only change. When completing a reservoir only change, you will disconnect and fill the reservoir with the amount of insulin needed before the next Extended infusion set change. You will need to complete a reservoir change again when changing the infusion set.

The Medtronic Extended infusion set is indicated for use on the abdomen, back of the arm, lower back, buttocks, and thighs. We recommend referring to the product instructions while inserting this set.

No, other Medtronic MiniMed™ infusion sets are only indicated for 2-3 days. The Extended infusion set has new technology and different materials that allow it to be worn for twice the wear time.

No, Extended Wear is available in Blue only.

The Medtronic Extended infusion set is designed with new materials to allow for longer wear (up to 7 days). Three updates have been made to the materials in the tubing connector, the tubing itself and the adhesive patch giving Extended Wear an indication of wear up to 7 days.
